What is carbon neutrality?

A key part of this is understanding carbon neutrality - which City Light has been since 2005! To stay carbon neutral, we use Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and Carbon Offset Credits. Our Vegetation Management team and the Woodland Park Zoo have teamed up in a fun way. Typically, our vegetation management teams compost or dispose of branches and other trimmings. But this partnership makes better use of our trimmings while supporting the zoo’s conservation efforts.
